I find myself paralyzed with
excitement, unable to decide what to do next. I have just been presented
with not one but two incredible oddities: the ability to fly and
the inversion of the world. Which one do I explore first? Can I do both? I
bend the corners of my blanket downward and swoop down into the deep blue
sky. I soar up and brush the surface of the earth, running my hand through
the grass. I fly under the Skagit River, just high enough so my hair skims
through the water. I do loop-de-loops and spirals and corkscrews,
screaming like a crazed eagle. This is
so much fun.
