A rectangular package, about the size of a VHS tape, wrapped in olive drab canvas. It looks a little like an army ration, extremely worn and faded, possibly as old as WW2. In the center, where the folds of canvas converge, there is a small tab of red fabric protruding from inside the package, and just above that, a tiny label, like a seal. I pick it up and hold it close to my face to read the print. It says:

OUTER LAYER TO PROTECT YOU FROM BLISTER GAS
